So instead of asking the same questions over and over again. I'm going to post common forum questions in this thread. I will try to regularly update the FAQ's, so please read before asking any questions. But if you can't find the answers you are looking for, by all means please ask! 1. What is Jello?
- There is a thread explaining the origins of the nickname Jello --> LINK HERE
2. What is hotlinking?
- Hotlinking is when you use the original url for an image hosted by someone else
- It is good practice to never hotlink other people's images
- To avoid hotlinking, simply save the image you want to use
- Upload the image onto an image hosting site (e.g. PhotoBucket or ImageShack)
- Use the image url where you need it be it for an avatar or signature
3. What is an avatar? How do I add an avatar or a signature?
- An avatar is a small picture displayed below your username on the left hand side of a post you make on the board.
- To add and avatar or a signature to your profile, first click on the Profile icon on the menu bar (located below the Jello-Forever forum banner).
- Click on the Modify Profile link.
- In the Avatar URL field, put the link to your avatar image.
- For a signature, scroll down to the Signature box
- Add the link to your signature picture.
- Make sure that any image link has a proper image extension in the url, i.e. link_name.gif, link_name.jpg, link_name.png.
- Don't forget to include the image tags in square brackets [], around the link.
4. What is a beta?
- A beta is a person who essentially proofreads fanfics prior to posting.
- A good beta is someone who helps catch spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors but also offer advice on style, characters, plot and anything else that will help the author create a better story.
5. How do I post a link?
- Use the url tages given in the tag toolbar (it's the one with the picture of the globe)
- For example:

6. How do I add forum badges to my signature?
- There is a thread containing all the official forum badges made by TLBoss --> LINK HERE
- Right click on the badge you want and select Save Image
- Upload the image to a hosting site and use this link in the signature box (see FAQ #3 on how to add a signature)
7. How do I make clickable thumbnails for large images
- Once you have an image uploaded, take the link from the image hosting site and use the following codes. (Assume that your image link is the following: 'imagesite.myimage.jpg')

8. How do I use the Spoiler tags?
- Highlight the portion of your message that contains the spoiler.
- Click on the spoiler tag button:
