Hey guys,

So here's the place to suggest to those who haven't voted yet who you think deserves the awards and why. All I ask is that you keep it civil.

The point of this thread is just to get people excited about the awards and to just be silly.

So create platforms for nominees, badges (in lieu of buttons), songs, chants, whatever!

On a personal note, I just want to say that if I had to choose which awards I would want the most it would be Best Jello Friendship, Best Inner Conflict and Best Jello Banter.

To be honest I'm jus happy to be nominated, I never have before in any type of fic awards ;D but I wouldnt mind best origional villan or character though, but at the end of the day I'm just happy that I was nominated and found this board

My sentiments exactly! I just started writing fanfiction this summer and I was so thrilled to be nominated! It's such an honor! I've loved being a part of this forum and I'm going to have the hardest time waiting to find out the results. I'm so not very patient!!!!!

If I could choose an award it would be Best Crossover. Looking Glass was a beast and I really enjoyed writing it! It was the longest thing I've ever written (over 100 Microsoft Word pages). The second would be Best Angst because Princess of Tides was a personal one for me and I think it was the most well-written of my stories.

The whole idea of the Jellies came about because I thought that the writers of the Mentalist fandom didn't get recognized enough for their talent. And everyone who's been nominated definitely deserves to be.

Though hopefully we'll over take Twilight on fanfiction, how any one can say Edward and Bella are the perfect lovers when there couples like J/L & R/VP gahh! #headbangwall

But I am really glad to have found this forum and as I am writing Seasons and Turning Tides I am already crossing fingers for next year, which yes I know makes me sad #computertyping

I haven't been involved in the fandom for long, yet I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for making me feel so included and for simply enjoying my fic. I'm thrilled to have been nominated at all as I still feel like I'm getting to grips with the characters and so on.

For the record, the fic I am most proud of is Echoes, and that has been nominated for Best Confession. (I'm also pretty pleased with Second Guessing getting a nom for Best Comfort moment as I think it's sweet.)

And of course, good luck to all the other nominees! The quality of the work astounds me and I feel honoured to have my work amongst yours. (does an *I am not worthy* bow)

And I know what you mean, I only started writing for BSG as a way of avoiding my A Levels and I was pretty amazed to be nominated for anything.

And its a lovely dose of sugar, everyone needs a sugar rush sometimes

Just wanted to let you guys know that all the polls are very tight at the moment... Neck and neck... Just so we make it completely fair. The polls will go blind the week before they close... Which means, even I won't know the results of last minute polling... Ah, so exciting!

That doesn't mean that you *should* wait until the end to cast your vote!!! Do it as soon as you can! Register too. We have a lot of eligible voters so please do your part!

Awww! #grouphug I agree tracie! I've also really enjoyed readying other fandoms that everyone has written. It's so interesting to see the different shows we all write for and to see that high level of writing carry through to other fandoms! Plus, it helps me procrastinate that much more!

Personally, I have to admit that I'm a little intimidated by my nominations as I don't really like being in the spotlight (except when I'm in a stage play). I'm a dork in this regard.

I'm slowly getting used to the idea though. I used to write fanfiction for Gilmore Girls and after the show ended, nothing really inspired me. So I'm just happy that The Mentalist made me write again and that my stories seem to be somewhat enjoyable. Anything else, like those nominations, are just the icing on the cake.

I'm still very much a newbie when it comes to writing FanFiction, so I too am honored to have my fics nominated at all. If there was one specific category I'd like to win... it would have to be Best Collection, because it contains my best work. Honestly though, I doubt I'll win anything. Everyone else's work is just so amazing. The Mentalist fandom is lucky to have so many great writers (not to mention some of the nicest) writing for it.

Good luck to EVERYONE who is nominated. No matter who wins, we all came up with some pretty awesome fics and we should all be proud.
