Yes actually, I was mistaken by my French teacher for another student who apparently looks like me. She kept calling me 'Carmen' and I kept ignoring her until she got my name right.

Yes, when I remembered some of the lines from the "Aussie Travel Board" joke and started cracking up at work. (The naked hippo races are my favorite part.)

Yep! I taught myself alto clef so that I could play viola, I dabbled in cello and trumpet and flute at one point in time, and sometimes I fool around and pretend to play the piano. I've also taught beginning violin (my main instrument, I've played for over 16 years) to a handful of students.
Have you ever gone to a concert specifically to see the opening act?

ALL THE TIME, but at home for the most part. School, not so much. The funniest (though not the worst) thing I can think of is way back in Kindergarten... The teacher sat down and got a sticky note stuck to her rear. The class burst out into laughter and a few of us hit our hands against the desks because we thought it was so funny (I was five!). The teacher got angry at the rowdy-ness and we got an apple taken away from our tree. (If all your apples were gone at the end of the week, no Friday recess.)
HYE...

Actually it was a mundane thing really, but I was right, proved I was right and got a chocolate bar.
